High Line Park

For John and I no visit to NYC would be complete without a walk along the High Line park. That's the Empire State building in the distance.
It's wonderful to see how mature the new public garden has become.
The trees now form a canopy overhead so we seem to walk through a tunnel of green.
The High Line continues to commission new artwork.
The garden continues to be popular with New Yorkers and tourists.
We enjoyed its Fall finery.
At the south entrance the new Whitney Museum is taking shape
just at Gansevoort Street in the revitalized Meat District neighbourhood.

  1. Wonderful! It's great any time of year. I was there in Jan. and the holly trees were gorgeous. They've thought through every detail and have some fine horticulturists looking after everything. Love the continual displays of art too.

  2. We never miss a chance to wander the High Line, Shelley. No wonder it's so popular!
