When John and I left the Geffrye Museum, we ran into a couple of young women with their arms full of flowers.
They happily directed us to the nearby Columbia Road Market.
The Market was a thick blur of flowers, flesh and scent on this hot, summery afternoon!
We brought home a bouquet of our favourite flowers, peonies, to fill the deep blue vase I bought in Brick Lane Market this morning.
Here a they are in their place of honour on our mantelpiece glowing in the late afternoon sunshine.
