Our Apartment in Berlin

First of all Bill and I would like to thank Karin and Jürgen for renting us their fabulous light-filled flat in Western Kreuzberg, Berlin -- on a quiet residential street it has been a cozy retreat from the big city.
Climb with us four flights of stairs from the courtyard below
to our door.
On the right as we go in is a large bedroom which we don't use except to store our bags.
But the heart of the apartment is the large living room which we find on our left as we come in the front door.
This desk has become the command center
from which the Tomatoes From Canada "cast our spell".
Connecting to the living room we find the master bedroom
where we dream beneath these decorative moldings.
A long hallway
takes us to the spacious kitchen
where Bill has been cooking some wonderful dinners.
When dusk falls we curl up on the comfortable leather couch, me with my novels, Bill with his guidebooks planning the next day's tour.
Last night I discovered the magical lighting under the spice rack.
