Leo House, NYC

When in New York, Bill and I love to stay at The Leo House at 332 West 23rd Street, between 8th and 9th Avenue. It's a block west of the famous Chelsea Hotel.
It's perfectly situated in Midtown, handy to major bus and subway routes. The new High Line Garden and the Chelsea Galleries are just around the corner.
The Leo House is run by the Roman Catholic Sisters of St. Agnes, but we have usually only met lay staff. We were pleased when Sister Kathleen, their Hospitality Director came by our table at breakfast. She wanted to make sure we knew that Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch were on Broadway in A Little Night Music. Bill and I had seen the show the night before and the three of us swooned.
The rooms are plain but comfortable and always immaculately clean.
Everything we could want is close at hand.
We've never been disappointed at The Leo House.
The hearty breakfast buffet is one of the bargains of New York. It keeps us going until dinnertime.
We highly recommend the Leo House for a inexpensive, secure and friendly stay in the Big Apple.
